Since my last update, Mike, Divium and I went to the Hyderabad Zoo. My expectations were low as we drove through old parts of town and through very impoverished areas. Even on arrival I still had doubts about paying the 50 cent entry fee... I was pleasantly surprised to find a completely world class zoo! This was by far the best zoo I've ever been too and we paid another $2 dollars for an open door van tour through places you would only expect to see foot traffic. I've also added many new snaps from places we've shopped in the last 2 weeks. There are some great deals here. You can purchase so many beautiful metal bangles for $1.00 US each and many wonderfully colorful Sari dresses & Salwar suits for $8.00 - $10.00 US. This is not my favorite shop "I really like Elahe" however, this one happens to have a website and it's done very well. Remember Rupees run about 40 to the US dollar so most high-end “complete” outfits will run about $100.00 US.
It's been difficult for me to write updates lately as I've been working 12-14 hours a day and then I lost the entire weekend to this illness. I'm told I have a severe case of traveler’s sickness and that the 5 different medications I’m on are trying to kill a Bacteria and a Protozoa. I'm still not sure that I'm on the mend but things are looking and feeling better today than yesterday. Hopefully I’ll be back to work in the morning.
